Musical Mondays
At Netherton infants we create a culture of music appreciation. Each month we celebrate a different musician from classical composers, traditions and popular artist's from every continent and covering the 9 characteristics of the Equality Act 2010 in the list of musicians we study.
Each month in assembly the new artist or genre is introduced to the children and each week music by that artist is played on entry and exit to assembly. At the beginning of assembly children discuss their thoughts and responses to the music and learn a little more about the artist or musical style.
