Literacy
This week in Funky Fingers we explored mark making in different textures. We used our fingers and then also tried with paint brushes too. Some of us were able to make the letter for our names.
This week we have been very busy. Outside we have been drawing around ourselves and naming our different body parts with chalk. Inside we have been drawing pictures of ourselves and trying hard to write our names.
Outside we have been experimenting with water to mark make our hand prints on different surfaces. Inside we have been using the mirror to look carefully at our faces and paint our portraits. We have been talking about how we all have different coloured eyes and hair.
Handprints
We started our Funky Fingers activities this week. Funky Fingers are fun activities which help our fine motor skills which are essential for handwriting.
