British Values
At Netherton Infants School we believe strongly that all children should be aware of the world they live in. They will be taught about the 'fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs.' (National Curriculum, 2014)
Every child will be given the opportunity, throughout school, to gain a better understanding and knowledge of the world around them through the experiences they have.
The first festival we will be exploring is Harvest. We will be learning all about how Christians celebrate Harvest and why it is celebrated. As a school we will lead a church service at our local church where children will share with their families all the things they have learnt.
