Easter Fun

We have enjoyed celebrating Easter.

  • We have made chocolate Easter nests (they were delicious)
  • Made Easter bunny cards.
  • We had an Easter egg hunt
  • and a very competitive pasche egg dump

This half term our theme is "Paw Patrol" and finding out about people who help us.

Damian Harvey

We really enjoyed Damian Harvey the author coming in to share some of his stories with us. Our favourite was his Spider poem

Police Officer Emma came to visit us and talk to us about how the police help people and keep us safe.

  Ice challenges

  • Look closely at the ice hands, what can you see? How do they feel?
  • How can you make the ice melt quickly?
  • Can you stop the ice from melting?
  • Can you rescue the animals from the ice balls?
  • Which ice ball will melt first, the biggest or the smallest?
  •  Can you use the ice blocks to build an ice palace?

Story Telling Week

Circus Skills

Ian came into our class and told us some funny stories about the circus. He then showed us how to pull funny clown faces and we pretended to splat ourselves in the face with custard pies!

We all practised our tightrope walking skills and even learned how to fall off in a funny way!

Autumn Walk

We had a fabulous time on our Autumn walk in Hall Park. We collected autumn leaves, conkers, acorns and sycamore spinners. We tip toed over the trolls bridge and fed the ducks and the swans.

Happy Halloween

We had a fabulous Halloween Fun Day, we all enjoyed dressing up and joining in with all the Halloween activities.

  • we sang spooky songs with Hannah
  • made balloon ghosts, monster masks, spiders and ghost pops.
  • went on a hunt outside to find the trick or treat chocolate
  • dunked for apples and searched for sweets
  • had a monster muffin eating competition
  • carved a pumpkin and had pumpkin soup for snack

This week we have been working with Ian the story teller.

We played different listening games - pass the sound, Chinese whispers and steal the treasure. We had to listen very carefully and work with our partners in the 'follow the finger game.'

We have also been inspired by a pictures of giants and we worked together to make a big picture of our giants and places we thought they might live.

We shared our thoughts and ideas and enjoyed using our imaginations to create our own stories about giants,
