Autumn Treasures

We have been looking at all the Autumn treasures that the children collected. The children enjoyed holding them and observing they closely while talking about their texture and colour.

Whats that smell?

This week we have been looking at the sense of smell. We all talked about what our favourite smell was and also smells that we don't like. We then did a smelling activity where we had to guess and identify the different smells.

We baked 'Ourselves' biscuits were we all took turns weighing out and mixing the ingredients and listening carefully to the instructions of the recipe. Jacob noticed the numbers of the weighing scales and was keen to look how they changed. Lucas knew that they needed to go into the oven to bake to change them to a brown colour. When they were cooled we used different icing to make them look like ourselves talking about what colours we needed for our facial features. We eat the biscuits for snack and they were very yummy!
